After setting up JoJo's website, we noticed that a good percentage of our visitors come to us from search engines. Many of you, I suspect, are searching for easy-to-read, helpful and personal information about the symptoms and treatment of meningioma brain tumors.
Since I do a lot of reading on the subject, I thought I'd share some links to help make your search for information easier. The sites below were selected because they offer the most practical information with a minimum of technical jargon.
A common cause. A common cure.
Even though the focus of our website will continue to be the search for treatment and help for canine brain tumors, it's very clear that there is a common thread.
Brain tumors in humans and dogs are very similar. In fact, many treatment breakthroughs
for human brain tumor patients were first tested in canines.
It is also true that brain tumors, whether human or canine, are less well understood than many cancers. And compared with other cancers, research on all types of brain tumors are woefully underfunded.
That is why I'm hoping that, if you can, you will also help promote and support brain tumor research in any way your health, resources and talents allow. Only by taking up the challenge ourselves whether patient, family member or caregiver will the banner of hope be raised.
I invite you to support the JoJo Meningioma Research Fund at the University of Illinois and other centers and foundations for brain tumor research, a few of which are listed below. I wish you the best on your journey, and wish you peace and strength.
Brain tumor links.
The following links apply mainly to human brain tumors. However, since canine tumors are similar, these readers might also find this information useful.
Please note: opening these links will NOT create a new window. You will be entering another site. To return to this page use your browsers back button.
